John Madden Calls It Quits

He was the youngest coach in football when he took over for the Oakland Raiders at 32.  Madden retired from the raiders after the '78 season. He had the best record in NFL history, 103 wins and 32 losses.

He then returned to the team and coached the Raiders to thier first ever Super Bowl. That was big for a man who came out of retirement, and then eventually became a brodcaster.

Mnay people know that Madden has had his own video game for several years, and just because of his name on the cover it has become one of the most popular games ever.

We all miss John Madden and football will not be the same, but we may see him again in the near future. We may see him back as an announcer again. Thats what he loved to do, and thats what he was known for.

In memory of John Madden. Although he is not dead, it sure feels like it in NFL Nation.
