What About Them Cowboys?

After the Cowboys’ practice stadium collapse left one paralized and some injured two weeks ago, the Cowboys are leaving their old stadium and moving to a new one in Arlington, Texas. This is a $1.1 billion stadium.

They were at the old stadium from 1971-2008. They started there October 24, 1971 against the patriots, with a 44-21 win, and went on to the super bowl.

Should Romo ditch golf for football? Romo should be thinking about football and not about the U.S. Open. He’s a good quarterback, but he’s had trouble in the playoffs. Wether he knows it or not, he is the team leader and he needs to focus more on football and leading his team to the superbowl.

Their first game will be Aug. 13 at Oakland, the next on Aug. 21 against Tennessee at Dallas. Then two times this year the Cowboys and the Giants will play. The best two teams in the NFL will battle. The past few times New York won. But maybe this time all that will change.

The Cowboys should bring it to a championship if Tony Romo focuses on football and not golf. As they recover from the collapse of the stadium, they should have a good start to the 2009-2010 season. They will be attending camp this July and we hope they can take it to a championship.

John Madden Calls It Quits

He owned the sport of football. He was an American Legend. There will never be a sports announcer like him.

He was the youngest coach in football when he took over for the Oakland Raiders at 32.  Madden retired from the raiders after the ’78 season. He had the best record in NFL history, 103 wins and 32 losses.

He then returned to the team and coached the Raiders to thier first ever Super Bowl. That was big for a man who came out of retirement, and then eventually became a brodcaster.

Mnay people know that Madden has had his own video game for several years, and just because of his name on the cover it has become one of the most popular games ever.

We all miss John Madden and football will not be the same, but we may see him again in the near future. We may see him back as an announcer again. Thats what he loved to do, and thats what he was known for.

In memory of John Madden. Although he is not dead, it sure feels like it in NFL Nation.
