Why LaDainian Tomlinson Will Be a New Orleans Saint

Having to give up a draft pick.
The issue it would create with Reggie Bush and Pierre Thomas (talk about a crowded backfield).

But there are a number of reasons why this makes sense:

Tomlinson is not happy with the way he feels he is being treated by the Chargers front office, particularly when comparing his negotiations to the contract Darren Sproles just signed
Tomlinson and Brees have a rapport on the field, but more importantly, are very good friends off of it
Even more important is the fact the Tomlinson and Brees' wives are very close
Tomlinson has to be intrigued by the prospect of playing in Sean Payton's offense, where Brees just missed breaking Dan Marino's passing record despite being without a number of his weapons for much of the season
