... class="MsoNormal">The Redskins fell victim to being in one of the toughest conferences in the NFL, the NFC East.

Outside of the 2008 off-season issues, which involved not having a head coach until promotion then offensive-coordinator Jim Zorn, the Redskins fell apart during the second half of the season.

6-3 heading into their bye week, the Redskins proceeded to lose five of their next seven to end the season 8-8.

This off-season has been another interesting one, highlighted by the attempts of management to bring in Jay Cutler and depart with Jason Campbell. They also cut DE Jason Taylor, who they just traded for the year prior.

The signings of Albert Haynesworth, Derrick Dockery, and DeAngelo Hall should manage to keep their defense a top ten commodity (sixth in points, fourth in total yards, seventh in pass yard, eighth in rushing yards).
