Tom Brady: Don’t Worry, He Will Be OK

... In a 2006 playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Carson Palmer, the Cincinnati Bengals franchise quarterback, went down with a "potentially career ending injury."

The injury, as reported by the Associated Press, involved numerous ligament tears, a shredded ligament, damaged cartilage, and a dislocated kneecap.  

Sound familiar?  

Actually it should, and does sound not only like, but far worse than the injury to Brady.  

Many people doubted that Palmer would ever play again, but he came back in 2007 and played as well as he could with a weak Bengals team. They were 7-9 that year, but Palmer threw for more yards, and had a better completion percentage than the year before when he lead his team to the playoffs. 

Brady will be able to start the 2009 season for the Patriots, based on he has had more time to recover than Palmer did for an injury that would not be described as bad.
