They've added two veteran linebackers in Mike Vrabel and Zach Thomas and now have a very solid linebacking core with Mike Vrabel, Derrick Johnson, and Zach Thomas.
But now that I look at that, I don't see a whole lot of room for Aaron Curry, the Chiefs' projected pick in this year's NFL Draft. I'm not counting him out, but would the Chiefs be this aggressive going after linebackers if they're sold on Curry at the number three spot?
Another possibility is they are sold on him, but are not sure if he will fall to them at the third pick. Would St. Louis take Curry over an offensive lineman, which is probably the Rams' weakest position?
The Rams could also have their mind set on building a solid defense with first round picks. This would be St. Louis's fourth straight year drafting a defensive player in the first round if they do.
I just don't see it happening though. I don't think the Chiefs do either, which means...
