The Atlanta Falcons’ Secondary Is NOT Bad.

... let me show you some numbers about the Falcons' secondary.

They rank 11th in the league for fewest points allowed, and in the middle third in terms of passing yards per game. Those are not great stats but they are solid. OK, so I will admit that this is not the best secondary, but I must say that they are more than decent. 

The Falcons are a dominantly young team on both sides of the ball. This can easily be seen when looking at the secondary. Last season not one of the starting corners was over the age of 27.

This is a problem, because the team lacks veteran leadership in the corner position. They did, however, have Lawyer Milloy at strong safety. Milloy, a 12 year veteran, was one of the leaders on the defense and forced the younger players to play better then they really were.

Milloy, however, was a liability in pass coverage and was thus let go this offseason. 

OK, so those were some excuses, now for some justifications...
