1995: In the 1995 NFL Draft Steve McNair was selected third overall in the first round by the Houston Oilers. He barely saw any action until 1997.
1997: 1997 was McNair's first year as a starter, the season resulted in a 8-8 record. McNair had 2,665 passing yards the most from a Houston Oiler since Warren Moon in 1993.
McNair also threw 13 Interceptions, setting the franchise record for fewest INT's in a single season. He aslo lead the team in rushing touchdowns with eight and ranked second behind Eddie George in rushing yards with 674, the third highest by a QB in history. McNair was a sensation and 1997 was the birth of a star.
