... Chiefs and Larry Johnson are in the middle of a case to determine whether or not the Chiefs have to pay Johnson this year's installment of his signing bonus. The Chiefs are contending that Larry violated his contract when he was suspended for one game in 2008.

They are seeking to have the contract voided. Whether they win or lose the case, the Chiefs have sealed the deal. By simply pursuing a court case, they have burnt the last bridge by which Larry could cross to remain a Chief. Pioli and Haley will release Johnson, they just want to try to save some money.

If you keep a cancer, the cancer spreads. The best move the new regime could make at this point would be to hand Johnson a pink slip, and blame it on the recession.

What now? Do the Chiefs seek another RB? Do they draft a RB in the middle rounds? Do they work with what they have? Let's discuss!
