San Francisco 49ers Need Torry Holt and Roy Williams

... fast. Last year the 49ers signed Isaac Bruce from the Rams and he had one of the better seasons for a receiver of the 49ers in a while. Bruce's stats were:

61 receptions for 835 yards, on 13.7 yards per catch, seven touchdowns, and a long of 63.

Would a reunion of two of the best receivers in the Rams history in San Francisco immediately improve the passing game for the 49ers?

The answer is yes and Holt still has some great seasons left in him, unfortunately for him the Rams are moving in a different direction and are trying to rebuilt the team meaning that Holt was expendable.

With Mike Singletary going back to a run dominated offense it helps to have a solid receiving tandem which the 49ers didn't really have last year. With Holt and Bruce the 49ers would get that. Holt is a seven time pro-bowler and is on his way to having over 1,000 career receptions which should happen in about one and a half seasons.
