Clady attender Eisenhower High School in Rialto, CA and was a walk-on in his freshman year. He played right tackle and was a letterman there. Immediately after his senior year, he was recruited by the Boise State Broncos.

He had a great freshman year and was an All-American. Clady continued his great prowess and was the starting left tackle in Boise States win over the Oklahoma Sooners in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl.

Scouts marveled at Clady's great block on the Oklahoma defensive ends during the game winning statue of liberty play.

His great play in the Fiesta bowl greatly boosted his draft status, and he was selected in the first round with the 12th pick by the Denver Broncos. 

Clady quickly impressed the Broncos and training camp and followed through with an excellent rookie campaign in the 2008-2009 season.
