But why was Cutler able to weasel out of Denver after a tumultuous offseason while Johnson is still stuck in the queen city? Is it because of position? Maybe location? Importance to team?
What about race?
While I do not believe that race has anything to do with Johnson’s failed attempt at departure from the Bengals, I do think that race will play a part if this question is raised.
But more on race later.
The Bronco’s have a problem on their hands. Owner Pat Bowlen may have placed too much confidence in his new rookie head coach and there is no contingency plan in place if Cutler is traded.
But here’s the thing, Bowlen has so much faith in McDaniels that he trust that his head coach is making the right decision...
