I want to thank the Chargers for not forcing that decision.
Pierre Thomas has deserved to start in the backfield. He may not be your every-down back, but the Saints don't run every down.
Thomas can run between the tackles and finishes his runs impressively. What more do you really need?
Someone to get that third-and-one? Hand off to the fullback, throw down field, check down to the flats. Can you say "wildcat"?
All I'm saying is Pierre has paid his dues. He's been a stand-up guy, worked hard, and has been a team player. I think it is his job to lose.
