On the Clock: Washington Redskins, 13th Overall Pick

Why we need one of those players, is because recently we let go two of our veteran defensive players in Marcus Washington and Jason Taylor.

First, Cushing is 6'3" and weighs 243. He can run with tight ends, and is also a productive pass rusher—which was two things Marcus Washington was not.

Cushing struggled with some injuries in 2005. He had a shoulder separation and it kept him out for five games. In 2006, he had a high ankle sprain that kept him out for three.

Then, Orakpo is 6'3" and weighs 263. He can play defensive end or outside linebacker and  ran a 4.70 in the 40-yard dash—which is pretty fast for a d-end.

During running plays, Orakpo can get off his block and make the play. Another thing on his side is that he'll be next to Abert Haynesworth, which makes all the d-line's jobs so much easier.
