Oakland Raiders: Top-Five First Round Picks at Seventh Overall

No. 1: Jeremy Maclin

The Missouri Tigers' WR would definitely fill a need for the Raiders, as the WR spot was awful last year, with not many changes this offseason. WR Johnnie Lee Higgins would be a much better Receiver as the No. 2, then No. 1, and Chaz Schillens is a better No. 3, then No. 2.

With Jamarcus Russell's strong arm (huge understatement), and Maclin's speed and ability to get open, the opposing defense would respect the pass, helping the run.


No. 2: Michael Oher

Oher is a great tackle who could fill the Raiders LT problem, switching "super" Mario Henderson to RT.

With Oher's protection, Russell would have more time to make better passes. Or McFadden more running space.

 

No. 3: Jason Smith
