Round one: Hakeem Nicks, Wide Receiver, North Carolina

Despite the fact that some think the Vikings don't need a receiver, I have the feeling they will take one in the first round.

If they didn't need a receiver, Minnesota wouldn't have made a strong push to get T.J. Houshmandzadeh. Unfortunately, this attempt failed.

Hakeem Nicks is too good to pass up on at this point. We've had some failures at wide receiver so far, but you can't keep avoiding the situation forever.

Round two: D.J. Moore, Cornerback, Vanderbilt

D.J. Moore is a great player who could easily be taken in the first round, but my gut tells me he slips down the draft boards.

Minnesota's need at cornerback went down after they signed former Denver Bronco Karl Paymah. Will he see the field very often, though?
