Personally, I don't think the need at wide receiver is nearly as big as the ones at offensive tackle, defensive tackle, or cornerback.

The Vikings currently own six draft picks. They are as follows:

  • Round 1 (22)
  • Round 2 (54)
  • Round 3 (86)
  • Round 5 (150)
  • Round 7 (204)
  • Round 7 (214)

Their fourth round pick was sent to Houston for Sage Rosenfels, and their sixth-round pick was used to acquire Kelly Holcomb from Philadelphia in 2007.

In May 2008, they acquired an additional seventh round selection from Washington, trading away injury-plagued defensive end Erasmus James. James was drafted 18th overall in the 2005 by the Vikings.
