Matt Leinart Wants To Stay with Cardinals: Five Teams in Need of His Services

It seems he is happy with sitting on the bench for the next two years.

This had me thinking: What teams are in need of his services?

 

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Now that quarterback Jeff Garcia is not returning to the team, the Bucs are stuck with Luke McCown.

McCown is an unproven player in the NFL. The Bucs need to look for a better option, if not just a good competition for the starting role.

Most mock drafts have the team picking Josh Freeman from Kansas State.

Wouldn't it be a good option to trade for Matt Leinart? He would be better than starting the season with McCown or Freeman.

 

San Francisco 49ers

Shaun Hill is not the answer, and apparently neither was drafting Alex Smith No. 1 overall in 2005.

The team skipped over Aaron Rodgers in that draft which prompted me to look at the numbers.
