LaDainian Tomlinson Restructures Deal With Chargers

... and Drew Brees planting the seed for a reunion, LaDainian Tomlinson has restructured his deal with the San Diego Chargers and will remain with the team for at least one more season.

Tomlinson, who will take a pay cut in 2010 and 2011 to give the team more cap room, will stay with the team that drafted him fifth overall in 2001.

"I love San Diego and being a part of this team with my teammates. My number one priority was to stay here in San Diego," said Tomlinson. "I truly believe this is the place that gives me the best chance to be successful and win a championship. I want to finish the job we started when I got here eight years ago. My heart has always been in San Diego. I couldn't imagine putting on another uniform."
