Not so fast.

Former teammate Tim Hightower, who Vaughan shared the backfield with at Richmond for three seasons, actually proved that rumor dead wrong just last year. Hightower rushed for almost 400 yards last season for the Arizona Cardinals and got into the end zone an impressive 10 times as well for the Cards.

“Tim is definitely an encouragement to me. Coming from a small school and everything, it’s definitely motivation,” Vaughan proclaimed.

Hightower has proven that he belongs in the league. So does Josh Vaughan? “Just to know that I played with him and shared the field at times, alternated with him, it definitely lets me know that I’m capable of playing on that level.”
