Heading into this offseason, Mangini knew he had many pressing needs. So far, he has signed multiple free agents—most being ex-Jets. None have been huge signings, but instead, depth moves.

Mangini started the Jets-to-Browns frenzy with the signing of defensive lineman CJ Mosley. Mosley isn't shaping up to be a starter, but a depth piece to Cleveland's defensive line and nothing more.

Then the Browns welcomed in cornerback Hank Poteat. Similar to Mosley, Poteat is looking to be a depth player behind youngsters Eric Wright and Brandon McDonald.

From there, Mangini brought in linebacker David Bowens. Bowens can play inside linebacker, outside linebacker, and defensive end. His versatility could help the Browns in many ways. In addition, he is also a strong special teams player.

The most recent Jet to become a Brownie is linebacker Eric Barton. Barton, the only signee with starter potential, recorded 119 tackles and 1.5 sacks...
