He openly challenged Eli Manning's ability in the media before the Giants Super Bowl run, calling him "skittish" after a four-interception debacle against the Minnesota Vikings. Manning responded in MVP-like fashion, leading the Blue to an unlikely Super Bowl victory over New England.

Then, he sent Wellington Mara's boy, Jeremy Shockey, packing after a verbal blowout. Shockey struggled with the Saints even though their QB, Drew Brees, fell a stone's throw short of Dan Marino's single-season passing yards record.

Reese scored a second and a fifth round pick in the trade, and now will use that to replenish the Giants' WR and LB corp.
