Jeff Backus is considered a more Versatile OT since he can play both tackle and guard. Jeff has always been a team player and I'm sure he would take the move to guard to help improve the 0-16 Detroit Lions.
Backus was one of the few picks that panned out for Matt Millen in his reign as GM of the Detroit Lions, and Backus has shown his commitment by signing a six year deal in 2006. To me he was a underrated Tackle due to the fact he has spent so many years on the horrible Detroit team. The one blemish of Backus was the Fight he got into with Dewayne White in 2007 in a dirty play committed during practice.
