James Harrison Re-signs With the Steelers…Finally!

... he signed with the Steelers. He was released then re-signed frequently during that time.

He played in Europe to show his stuff and played very well. Harrison's first chance came in '05 because of many injuries on the Steeler's roster. He played great and got into the regular rotation.

He made three special teams tackles in SuperBowl XL.

He became a starter in '06 and was named to two consecutive Pro Bowls following the '07 and '08 seasons.

He was named that 2008 Defensive player of the year and lead the Steelers to a Super Bowl win this past year.

This offseason, James Harrison felt he was worthy of a new contract, but the Steelers wouldn't bite. He was getting closer to asking for a trade before Pittsburgh finally granted his wish today. They granted him a six-year deal worth $51.175 million. The 28 year old is yet to comment to the media on the deal, but the Steelers are more than excited to keep him.
