But why would I, Rob Tiongson, find the month of February to be the best sports month in the year?

Am I crazy for just snubbing April's offering with the start of the MLB season or the playoff season of the NBA and NHL?

Perhaps, but Frantic February offers so much to sports fans that makes the brutal and bone-chilling temperatures of late winter seemingly tolerable.

First, there's the National Football League's biggest game of the entire professional gridiron season in the Super Bowl.

America and those abroad take in all the sights and sounds of the game, from the pre-game concert filled with lip-synced performances of musicians of varying relevancy to the culmination of the game with the winning team realizing their presence on a Wheaties box in a matter of weeks.<...
