Chuck Bednarik, Bill Bergey, Seth Joyner, Byron Evans, William Thomas, and Jeremiah Trotter.  Great linebackers.  Well, the last few years, linebackers had become almost a mirror image of the wide receiver situation.

The Eagles seemed to have a pedestrian group of linebackers, but they have put themselves back on the map.

Last year, the linebackers were considered a question mark.  They were young and didn’t have much experience.  They were mostly playing out of position.  They turned out to be a pleasant surprise in 2008.

The group is led by middle linebacker Stewart Bradley.  Bradley was a first year starter who was a strongside linebacker in college.  He had some trouble early in the season in coverage, but he has become a borderline star player.
