Donté Stallworth Faces Jail Time, Charged With DUI Manslaughter

Stallworth surrendered himself in court on Thursday and faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison if found guilty.

Stallworth, who signed a seven-year $35 million contract last offseason with the Cleveland Browns had a blood alcohol level of .126, which is well above the Florida legal limit of .08.

He was on his way home from a night of drinking at a Miami Beach hotel nightclub when he struck and killed 59-year-old Mario Reyes. Reyes, a construction crane operator, was crossing a busy causeway that connects Miami Beach and Miami, while trying to catch a bus on his way home from work.

Stallworth is a seven-year veteran out of the University of Tennessee. In addition to Cleveland, he has also played with the New England Patriots after previous stints with the New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles.
