Devin Thomas: Time to Step Up

... last season, they thought they were acquiring a guy that could at least be mediocre his first season and take some pressure off of No. 1 receiver Santana Moss.

However, Thomas failed to learn the new West Coast Offense playbook under first year head Jim Zorn. When Thomas was thrown the football by starting quarterback Jason Campbell he either would not be ready for the football, or sometimes would be called for offense pass interference. As a result, he fell behind in the depth chart behind Santana moss, Antwan Randle L, and James Thrash.

"It's time for me to step up and do what I've got to do," Thomas said. "So I'm working hard, getting ready for this offseason. Whether they would have brought some wide receivers in or not, I still have to bust my tail. It's nothing different."
