First we got rid of an underachiever in Roy Williams for draft picks that we can use in the rebuilding process. Then we had a productive free agency period, picking up a number of starters to improve our team right away. Anthony Henry and Phillip Buchanon starting at corners will put Travis Fisher at his rightful spot in the Nickel. Daniel Bullocks at one safety spot and the other one is a question mark.

And the latest move, Redding to the Seahawks for perennial Pro Bowler Peterson, which brings me to my point: The debate about who to take with the No. 1 pick.

Matthew Stafford is a hit or miss player, which you can tell by his inconsistencies in college. Jason Smith is good, but with defense being the problem, that needs to be addressed more. The recent acquisition of Peterson will cause a lot of people to assume that Aaron Curry is out of the running for the No. 1 draft pick.
