In Tyree's book he talks about how he was in a sporting goods store after the Super Bowl and a woman goes up to a man working at the store and asks if they have a David Tyree jersey. The man says no. Tyree was right by them the whole time and then realized they did not know what he looked like.
Tyree came out of Syracuse University and was drafted by the Giants in the sixth round of the 2003 NFL Draft.
What many don't know is that Tyree was selected to a Pro Bowl in 2005 for his special teams play.
Before Tyree's amazing catch he had only had four catches on the year for 35 yards and had not played in any of the Giants postseason games.
