Although, I believe that it is a good thing in this year's case because the Bears can get great talent later on in the draft and get a great defensive or offensive linemen with their first pick.
The Bears will also get a player that has a lot better chance of making an impact due to the risk of taking a wide receiver that can't get on the field. Look at Earl Bennet as an example, couldn't get on the field for the whole year because he didn't know the plays?
I think that's a load of BS. Lovie Smith just doesn't know when to develop his young players even when their receiver position can't get any worse. So they play a 40-year-old receiver that can't run faster than my grandma instead of someone who has potential to be a good receiver and can help us out.
