Cris Carter’s 2010 Chances

... are all likely going to be first ballot hall of famers. That makes me believe that for a third consecutive year Cris Carter will fail to make the cut for Canton. It's going to be hard for alot of Minnesota Vikings fans to stomach but I believe it's probably already a reality.

     I grew up a New England Patriots fan but Cris Carter was one of my favorite players to watch growing up. I don't think I have ever seen anyone else make as many breath taking sideline tip-toe catches as Carter seemed to do on a weekly basis. Some of the great catches he would come down with would make Lynn Swann look ordinary.

     While I think Jerry Rice and Tim Brown were great players, I always thought Carter had more talent than either. When he retired after the 2002 season I thought he was a lock in 2007 to be a first ballot hall of famer. But it's been two years and counting. With Rice and Brown most likely getting in, I don't see a third wide ...
