Joe Jurevicius was released today and even though he's 34 years old, he can still be a solid possession receiver.
Jurevicius has said that he plans to play one more year before retiring.
The bad news about Joe is that he has been hit by injuries late in his ten-year career.
Jurevicius has spent those ten seasons with the Giants, Bucs, Seahawks, and Browns. In his best season, 2005, with the Seahawks he recorded ten receiving touchdowns and 694 receiving yards and also had five catches for 93 yards in Super Bowl XL.
Then he left for the Browns in 2006 through free agency and he turned out to be great on third and long situations.
The next season he finished with the third most third-down receptions (29) in the league.
This past season Joe Jurevicius missed every game after developing a staph infection following arthroscopic knee surgery.
