Byron Leftwich Returns to Florida, Signs Two-Year Deal with Bucs

Desperate for a living, breathing, human quarterback, the Bucs have agreed to a two-year deal with Byron Leftwich, formerly of the Jaguars, Falcons, and Steelers. Leftwich will "compete" for the starting gig with Luke McCown, Brian Griese, and Josh Johnson, but certainly seems like an odds-on favorite to win the job.

I say that not because Leftwich is particularly talented, but because the other options are so bad. While Leftwich played well in five games for the Steelers in place of Ben Roethlisberger last season, he only threw for 303 yards, so it isn't exactly like he was rocketing the ball all around the field.
