Lucas has been a Carolina Panther since 2005 and in those seasons his stats have gradually decreased, but he has always been a threat at cornerback. He has recorded 13 interceptions in his four seasons with the Panthers.

Ken Lucas still has many good years left in him and he is a solid eight-year veteran. Many teams will be willing to pick him up. What's left for the Panthers though?

Chris Gamble is now the No. 1 leader in the cornerback crew. Richard Marshall and Dante Wesley are now the two and three cornerbacks.

Two last things. The Panthers may want to look towards free agency if they want to get a good solid cornerback. However, seeing as money is tight, it looks like the NFL Draft is where they will get our fourth or fifth cornerback.

Expect a lack of passing defense again this season. Better yet, expect one of the league's worst passing defenses if Carolina can't keep...
