Bengals Sign Tank Johnson

... the Bengals have a signed deal with defensive tackle Tank Johnson. Johnson previously played in Chicago, starting 15 games in three seasons with the Bears.

Following his arrest on gun charges, the Bears released Johnson, and he was picked up to be a back up nose guard for the Dallas Cowboys. After two unimpressive seasons in a position he clearly did not fit, he was released by Dallas and is now a Cincinnati Bengal.

The downside of this move is that it proves Mike Brown hasn't made fundamental changes in his philosophy of drafting or signing troubled athletes.

This means the Bengals are at a high risk of being sanctioned by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell should Johnson have more legal problems. It also means that we, as Bengals fans, will receive more grief from other fans about our team of prison-yard ballers.
