Are the Steelers Holding Byron Leftwich for a Draft Day Deal?

Considering how a proven quarterback is hard to come by in the NFL, I thought Leftwich would catch a deal rather quickly in Free Agency.  

More than a month later, and he is still playing bench warmer in Pittsburgh's roster.  

I wonder if Colbert and the Steelers organization are looking into a draft day deal to send Leftwich to a needing team for another draft pick, or to move up the boards.

While Pittsburgh rarely makes such a move it has happened in the past.

In the 1989 draft, the Steelers had the seventh overall pick and a bonus first round pick from Minnesota because of the Mike Merriweather trade. They also acquired a pick from the Panthers in the 2005 draft, and a pick from the Rams in 1994 among others.  

Leftwich gives us leverage and puts us in a position many other teams would love.

Resigning Leftwich so we could trade him on draft day...what...
