Confident Brady Means Trouble For His Opponents

Last year the unthinkable happened to New England’s superman—Tom Brady suffered a season ending surgery. With Brady out, Matt Cassel took control of the Patriot offense and led the team to an 11-5 record, but no playoff birth.
Now the season has been over for four months and the Patriots are starting their OTAs. Better yet, they enter OTAs with a healthy Tom Brady.
“He’s got me running all over the field,” said Patriots slot receiver Wes Welker. “Once or twice I been like, ‘Hey Tom we had a pretty long season. Let’s take baby steps.’ But he doesn’t want to hear that. When you’re on the field out with him, you’re out there playing.”
With every throw, every snap, Brady gets more loose and more comfortable again. He’s closer to being Tom Brady again. Something the AFC East doesn’t take as good news.
It’s great news for the Patriots organization and Patriots fans.
Brady goes on to say that being at home watching the games made him appreciate the little things about playing football. Things he used to complain about are now things he wants to be apart of.
“…I’ll be ready to play, back to playing normally, when the season starts,” Brady said.
A normal Brady is an MVP Brady. Pretty scary when you think about it.
“I’m doing everything. Literally everything. There’s nothing I can’t do.”
As a Pats fan, I can’t wait for preseason to start so we can get a glimpse of Brady in action. He can’t wait either.
Brady says he can’t wait until the first game of the season when they play AFC rival, Buffalo Bills. He wishes it were already here.
As we get closer to football season, the Patriots are once again the favorites to go all the way and win, along with Brady being a favorite to win the NFL’s Most Valuable Player Award.
It’s still the Brady era and it will always be until he retires. According to Brady, he doesn’t see that happening for another 10 years.
“I want to play ’til I’m 41,” said Brady. “And if I get to that point and still feel good, I’ll keep playing. I mean what the hell else am I going to do? I don’t like anything else.”
