John Madden retiring from NFL broadcast represents the loss of one of the truly legendary voices and personalities in sports.

Madden's retirement will mark the end of that 30 year run in the booth. Most recently Madden was part of NBC's Sunday night broadcast.

The legendary broadcaster released the following statement.
