Now I don't know that I would go that far. As far as media coverage is concerned, Favre has definitely over-extended his welcome. But is he entirely to blame for that? If the man still wants to play, and there is a team out there who is willing to invest him, why criticize either party?
Enter the Minnesota Vikings.
If there is any one aspect of Doyel's article that he and I are totally agreement on, it's that the Vikings lack an edge. And if they don't do something soon, they could lack a stadium, given their troubles with their state legislature.
There's something about all of this that reminds me of the Dallas Mavericks and their trade for Jason Kidd last year.
