The Tampa-based Pewter Report has indeed reported that Sears has not been cleared for OTA or perhaps training camp participation.

The publication has cited a source close to the situation that Sears may be suffering from a concussion-related injury. Reporting these sort of things, like all injuries is a complicated situation with today HIPAA privacy laws.

Regardless, anything concussion-related has been in the NFL spotlight after high profile stars like Troy Aikman saw their careers end as a result of concussions.

No one wants to imagine that perhaps the Sears situation is that serious.

Career ending?

It's a scenario this young, rebuilding franchise does not need.
