Miami Dolphins Interested in Ex-Clemson Tiger Dorell Scott

A three-year starter at Clemson, Scott played in 47 career games for the Tigers and recorded 161 tackles (18.5 for a loss) and 9.0 sacks. He played on the defensive line with Dolphins' 2008 second-rounder Phillip Merling for three seasons.

Draft Countdown has Scott ranked as the 21st best defensive tackle in this year's draft, directly behind another nose tackle prospect in Stillman's Sammie Lee Hill. Meanwhile, NFL Draft Scout ranks Scott the 100th overall prospect in the draft and projects him to be selected in the third or fourth round.

He's not an enormous nose tackle in the mold of a Vince Wilfork, but Scott certainly has the bulk to play the position in Miami's 3-4 scheme. While I suspect he has the size and ath...
