How many slogans have we heard for the New Orleans Saints?
The first one that comes to mind is “Same Ol’ Saints.” Year after year after year, it’s the same ol’ saints. Your grandfather knew about them, Your father knew what to expect out of them, and we all just want a win out of them. The coaches change, players change, but the fans always hang in there.
We always take the brunt of the heat being the Saints fan. All we can do is speculate what it feels like to win that dreaded Super Bowl. It always seems to be unfair. We win the division, make the playoffs and oops, it’s the same ol’ Saints. We should be crowned the winners of almost making it, or close but no cigar. Maybe we should get a trophy like Mr. Irrelevant; even he gets a parade. Or maybe we should just be given one, like the 10-run Little League rule.
Enough of the pity party already, Saints.
Just man up and win one for the city. Win one for yourselves, pride, honor, and greatness. The fans of New Orleans are probably the best in the business. We know what it means to be a fan: we hang in there year after year after year. When they lose, we want them, when they want to leave we still want them. We love our New Orleans Saints.
But don’t bash them, or we will argue you down like we just won the Super Bowl. Every year is “Super Bowl or Bust” for us, even if we’ve never been there. Man, what a thrill it is to be a Saints fan. We expect the very best out of all of our players, even if you’re a seventh round pick out of Hofstra.
Same Ol’ Saints. Will this current generation use it for good or for same? Will this current Saints team finally make it to the Big Dance? I think so. Will this current team make it to the postseason and beyond? I think so. Will this current team show up every Sunday even against weaker opponents? I think so. Will this current team win one for the city, state, and fans world wide? I know so.
Why, you ask? Because I’m a part of the Same Ol’ New Orleans Saints.

It would’nt be right if I didnt start of by saying Who Dat! Many people use this phrase in may different ways; here in Louisiana there is only one way to say it, WHO DAT SAY DEY GON BEAT DEM SAINTS.
Many of you may find your self saying Who Dat is running that ball, Who Dat is catching that ball. With our show Case of 3 nationally televised Games, we will have our fair share of Prime Time.
Reggie Bush may be the next best thing for prime time, since Deion “Prime Time” Sanders. With his flash, dash, and flare in the way he runs the ball. He could be on the brink of a break out year.
For those of you who have him as a high Fantasy Pick, keep him there. Not only Reggie, but many of the Who Dats will have you sayin, Who Dat? Pierre “Air” Thomas Could help the Saints stabilize their already potent offense.
A healty Jermy Shockey, Marquese Coilston, Adrian Arrington may bolster the dangerous air assult. Look for the Saints to Use the running attack as a way to attack teams in the first and fourth quarter.
As a way to set up the pass attack, and tire the deffense out at the end of games. With the addition of Mike Bell, P.J. Hill, and other F.A. acquisitions, the running game is better suited to take over games in the fourth quarter. Pierre Thomas Should be able to help Reggie Bush get back to his college and rookie year performances.
This years Saints has the most debt ever, on both sides of the ball. The Defence has made a complete overhaul. Not changing the structure of the D, but by subtracting older injury plagued players, and adding young fresh Blood.
The defense may be on its way to Patroling the Dome. We have our fair share of Who Dats on D also. With the likes of Tracy Porter, Demario Pressley, Michael Jenkins, Sedrick Ellis, and my surprise defender Jolann Dunbar. These are all key players who will make a sudden impact as either spot players or starters.
To be honest, the Saints now has good of a chance as anybody, with Gregg Williams now heading the front line. We will now have teams wondering how to attack the already potent New Orleans Saints.
Teams will dread having to play in the Dome. Who Dat will become the New Orleans Anthem once again. With all the attention being on attacking and blitzing Drew Brees. Look for Reggie and Pierre to head this offensive attack, and Drew playing second fiddle.
Which will work out fine for Drew, because he will now be able to pick apart defences. With the option of running, passing, or the deadly Play Action. We can see a top five offense with a top 10 defense.
I look forward to many chants of Who Dat Who Dat Who Dat Say Dey Gon Beat Dem Saints!
