Ravens Will Work Out Receivers This Friday

... by working out some receivers regardless of Mason coming back or staying retired.

Mason made his shocking announcement on retiring to Jocklife.com last Monday. However there is no word on whether or not he filed his retirement papers to the NFL.

This week he will meet coach John Harbaugh about his future with the Baltimore Ravens.

The Nashville City Paper reports the Ravens will hold a work out on Friday for free agent former Titans/Rams WR receiver Drew Bennett. Drew started his career in Tennessee in 2001 as an undrafted wide receiver.

He played for six seasons, then he became a free agent. Bennett signed a six year $30 million deal with $10 million guaranteed with the St Louis Rams, where spent his two years before suffering a season-ending foot injury in Week 1 of last season against Philadelphia. 

Bennett was released by St Louis on February 25, 2009.
